Bec’s Cosplay Wonderland looks awesome copslaying as Starfire from Teen Titans!
“I was so excited to cosplay from a series I watched daily as a child. Starfire was always my favorite Titan back then and still is to this day. I plan on cosplaying multiple versions of her now that I have a taste for what its like to cosplay her. The costume was fairly simple to make, just a basic tube skirt and top. The armor I had a bit of trouble deciding how I wanted to construct it in the beginning but I ended up doing fabric over worbla for the arm guards for a stiff but cartoon-y look. The neck…thingy was also fabric but over craft foam to allow more flexibility. Over all it really didn’t take very long to make and it was worth every penny to me. I really hope to have more titans with me next time I wear this. “

This past weekend at Comic-Con, fans attending the Batman vs. Superman panel were treated to an additional surprise: the cast of Suicide Squad appeared on stage (minus Jared Leto) and introduced our first ever look at footage from the upcoming supervillain film. Despite their pleas to not record any of the footage, someone of course did, and it leaked online shortly thereafter in a really crappy quality. Well, director David Ayer and Warner Bros. feel your pain and have decided to do the right thing and just release the whole trailer online.
Ayer tweeted this afternoon:
Shame our sneak peek Hall H footage was leaked. #notcool it’s unfair to the fans who waited in line. And not how I intended folks to see it. As we used to say in the #Navy stand-by to stand-by. We’re gonna make it right.
He then sent the link to the official Suicide Squad Comic-Con trailer as it was meant to be seen. What’s funny is that directly after the panel, Warner Bros. said they had no intentions of making that footage available online. Shows how quickly a well-timed leak of really grainy footage can change everyone’s perspective. Suicide Squad is a very important movie for Warner Bros. and the new DC universe, so if people are going to see this trailer, they might as well see it as it was meant to be seen. Says Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures in a statement:
Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.
The movie’s lineup includes Deadshot (Will Smith), The Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Slipnot (Adam Beach) and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
Valerie Virgin look simply gorgeous as our favuorite Gotham villainess, Harley Quinn! Here’s what she said about it…
“I know that Harley has so often been cosplayed, but she is just my absolute favorite character. Once again, I worked with my wonderful photographer Stefan and these are the results. I hope you enjoy them as well as me. First, this costume was just my Halloween outfit, but then I thought that it must be simple again photographed properly. 🙂 Follow me on my Facebook fanpage, so you remain with my new cosplays to date. 🙂 And now, have a great day, puddin´. :D”
