E3 2016 – Final Fantasy XV Trailer

The trailer was a highlight reel of moments, featuring lots of chocobo riding, giant monsters, fighting, magic, car driving, and all the stuff we’ve already gotten out of Final Fantasy XV so far. It looks fast, fun, and like a great new addition to the Final Fantasy series.

It was then followed up by the Final Fantasy XV VR Experience. Instead of playing like the normal game, here you take control of Prompto. Promto could move around and you aimed and shot in first person. Here we saw the crew fighting the behemoth while the player sat back and took shots at it.

While it’s unsure if Final Fantasy XV VR Experience will have different gameplay styles, one final shot saw Prompto sitting in a car with Cidney while they drove down a highway.

Final Fantasy XV is coming out on September 30th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Final Fantasy XV is Officially Launching in 2016

Square Enix posted a message for their fans awaiting Final Fantasy XV just in time for the new year.

Here’s the entire text portion of the message, from game director Hajime Tabata:

Happy New Year!

We will finally release FFXV this year, in 2016! In development, previous phases required wisdom and strength. However, moving forward the final phase will focus on effort and willpower.

I vow to you all that every member in the team will do their best to the very last possible moment taking responsibility and pride in their craft.

We will do everything we can do to finish FFXV to create an experience we are incredibly proud of and one that you will enjoy and treasure.

The whole FFXV team appreciates all of the support from each and everyone one of you this past year.

I cannot tell you how much it means to all of us.

We’d like to celebrate a wonderful New Year and as we approach the release of FFXV, I’d like to enjoy that moment with you all.

Director of FFXV Hajime Tabata
