Combining action sports with fully explorable open world, Steep will give you a chance to challenge your friends and the community.
We cut to several daredevils giving voice over about their skydiving and base jumping skills, before we cut to skiing and base jumping in engine. We see a mix and match of snowboarding, skydiving, base jumping, skiing and other extreme sports, all located in on a snowy mountainside in the French Alps.
The main objective with Steep is an open world experience that is shared between players. While there will be solo challenges to contend with, the major push for the game is interactivity with friends, both in races, challenges, and just exploration of the landscapes around you.
Coming out december 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
As part of the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month, Ubisoft’s Beyond Good & Evil HD is now free on the PlayStation Store.
The game was originally re-released as a full HD revamp on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network back in 2011, featuring improved character models and textures, a rearranged soundtrack, trophies/achievements, and online leaderboards.
With Rayman creator and Ubisoft creator Michel Ancel saying he is still working on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
Ubisoft announced that the survival-horror game ZombiU is rising again, this time for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
The game will also be dropping the “U” from it’s title, and simply just be called Zombi.
Zombi will be a heavily updated version of the former Wii U exclusive, including two new melee weapons, a wider field of vision, and other gameplay tweaks such as a rechargeable flashlight battery. The game will also get a graphics update, and port over the real-time inventory system that made ZombiU feel claustrophobic, as death can happen while you rummage through your backpack.
Since ZombiU was built with the Wii U gamepad in mind, Ubisoft is attempting to focus on different features for Zombi, including a heavier emphasis on solo play. “We knew from the beginning that maintaining the tension and feel of the original was one of the main challenges, as the way ZombiU was presented on Wii U cannot be reproduced.” stated Zombiproducer Hélène Henry on a Ubisoft blog.
One of the ways around this is to make Zombi a HUD-less experience, disappearing when its not required by the player. This would offer a more “lonely feeling” according to Henry. The games controls are also being fine-tuned to match the more conventional controller experience on the other consoles.
“A lot of time was spent getting the controls mapped as intuitively as possible, to keep the original atmosphere,” said Henry.
ZombiU’s multiplayer mode will not be ported over, however, leaving Zombi as a single-player game only. Ubisoft has also not stated if these gameplay tweaks for Zombi will show up for ZombiU either.
What is known, however, is that Zombi will be available for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 starting August 18th.
